Pee Dee Home and Garden Workshops

The 9th annual workshop was a great suscess and the Florence County Master Gardeners would like to thank everyone involved in making this years workshop a success. The Florence County Master Gardeners are actively working on our 2009 workshop so check back for updates as they become available.


If you did not attend our 2008 workshop, these are some of the things you missed:


Margot Rochester, author of "Earthly Delights: Gardening by the Seasons the Easy Way" and garden writer for several newspapers, was thekeynote speaker in the morning. Rochester has been a master gardener for 13 years and has presented programs at the Charleston Horticulture Society Winter Symposium, the Greenville (SC) Master Gardener Symposium, The North Carolina Arboretum in Asheville, Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden, the Philadelphia Flower Show and various other gardening events. She is currently working on her second book, “Down to Earth: Practical Thoughts for Passionate Gardeners” while writing articles for Carolina Gardener Magazine.

 

There were 6 afternoon classes on a variety of subjects, door prizes and an all day Plant Sale

       From 2:45 to 3:30 Ask The Experts: The Workshop speakers will be available in an open  forum to answer your gardening questions.
